ECHO Complete Transthoracic – 10/3/24

Reason For Study: Weakness - r531                                           BSA: 2.2 m2

Procedure/Quality Complete 2D Echocardiogram with color and spectral Doppler was performed

(93306). The Echocardiogram was performed at bedside.

Interpretation Summary

The left ventricular ejection fraction is normal.

Ejection Fraction = 60-65%.

There is moderate concentric left ventricular hypertrophy.

Mild valvular aortic stenosis.

Mean gradient across aortic valve is 10mmHg.

There is no pericardial effusion.

Left Ventricle

The left ventricle is normal in size. There is moderate concentric left ventricular

hypertrophy. No regional wall motion abnormalities noted. Normal diastolic function for

age. Ejection Fraction = 60-65%. The left ventricular ejection fraction is normal.

Right Ventricle

The right ventricle is normal in size and function.

Atria

Normal left atrial size. Right atrial size is normal. IVC within normal limits, consistent

with normal right atrial pressure.

Mitral Valve

The mitral valve appears to be sclerotic. There is no mitral regurgitation noted. There is

no mitral valve stenosis.

Tricuspid Valve

The tricuspid valve is normal in structure and function. There is trace tricuspid

regurgitation. Right ventricular systolic pressure cannot be estimated on this examination.

Aortic Valve

The aortic valve appears to be sclerotic. The aortic valve is trileaflet. The V1/V2 ratio

is .48. Mean gradient across aortic valve is 10mmHg. Mild valvular aortic stenosis. No

aortic regurgitation is present.

Pulmonic Valve

The pulmonic valve is grossly normal. There is no pulmonic valvular regurgitation.

Great Vessels

The aortic root is normal in size. Proximal ascending aorta is normal in size.

Pericardial/Pleural Effusion

There is no pericardial effusion.
